Golden Age of Afghanistan
Golden Age Of Afghanistan:- The year 19 August 1919 marks the beginning of the Third British Afghan War. Afghanistan becomes an independent country after winning this war. Voting rights were given to women in Afghanistan in 1919 i.e. 1 year before America.
In 1933 Zahir Shah becomes the new king of Afghanistan. The 40 years of his monarchy are considered as the golden years of Afghanistan. At this time Afghanistan was called the Paris of Central Asia. At that time there was a constitution in Afghanistan, Liberty was at its peak.
(Mohmmad Zahir Shah)
There was no restriction on women. Afghanistan had taught the world how much female population can contribute in the development of the country. In Afghanistan at that time more than 70% of the women were teachers in the school. Kabul University had 50% more female students.
More than 40% of the doctors were also female. But by the 1970s, Afghanistan started going towards destruction. In 1978 the Communists seize power. Communists destroy the entire system of the country as soon as they come to power.
And the radical Taliban of Afghanistan were sitting waiting for this opportunity, who kill communists and implement Taliban rule in Afghanistan.
